Synergos comes from the Greek word for "co-laborer" or "fellow worker," a term the Apostle Paul uses throughout Romans 16 to commend his ministry partners.​

Most pastors didn't enter ministry because they love finances, human resources, and church operations. Yet seminaries do little to prepare them for this side of leadership, and many spend as much time each week tied up in church administration as they do preparing sermons and shepherding their people.
